Luxury Bed & Breakfast Accommodation Wanaka, New Zealand

Tiritiri Lodge, on the eastern shore of Lake Wanaka in the South Island of New Zealand offers luxury boutique lodge accommodation in 5 deluxe rooms and 1 suite.  Architecturally designed to maximise the views from each guest room of Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps the lodge has day long exposure to sun and an ever changing vista. Built with environmental sensitivity in a modern elegant style the lodge opened January 2007.

Wanaka lies in the heart of the worlds most beautiful unspoilt alpine and lakes district located in the South Island of New Zealand. It is a 50 minute scenic drive from Queenstown International Airport. Wanaka has great mountain hiking in summer and superb skiing in winter at Cardrona, Treble Cone and Snow Farm. Wanaka hosts the famous Warbirds over Wanaka Air Show at Easter (next in 2010).

Tiritiri Lodge is Wanaka’s newest and most stylish exclusive boutique lodge. Take a rod and walk to Lake Wanaka and the Clutha River for world class trout and salmon fishing. Or bicycle or walk into Wanaka along the beautiful Wanaka lakeside track. Relax in the cedar hot tub and after a day hiking or skiing in the mountains around Wanaka. Or just curl up with a book or your laptop in the sun in the window seat and watch the ever changing vista of Lake Wanaka. Pamper yourself with a massage or learn how to cook raspberry shortcake with Chef Tiffany. Free high speed internet access is available throughout the lodge.

Relax by the waterfall or the fire over drinks and appetizers and plan you next day’s activities with expert advice from  your hosts -  will it be a spectacular flight to Milford Sound, a helicopter to view Mt Aspiring, a cruise on the lake or lunch at a great Bannockburn vineyard?. Dining in? Discuss the menu with the chef. We feature great local produce and our own home grown salads, herbs and vegetables in season. Special meet the winemaker dinners can be arranged.

The lodge is furnished in an elegant style and features pieces by New Zealand designers including Simon James and Vernon Brown chairs. Original artworks include sculptures by New Zealand artists Johnny Turner and Ray Hadley. The deluxe guest accommodation features spectacular views of Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps. (The Maori name for the Southern Alps of New Zealand is (Ka Tiritiri o te Moana). The guest accommodation is furnished with divine velvet goose down throws, luxurious duvets and the finest linen on luxurious king size beds.

The lodge offers a luxury Wanaka winter accommodation ski and non ski package, a hiking and pamper accommodation package and caters for honeymooners.
