Each room is designed to take advantage of the stunning mountain and lake views.
The 6 guest rooms include one suite and 5 super king double or twin beds, one with full disabled access.
The rooms are furnished with luxurious beds, velvet goose down throws, fine Egyptian cotton linen, pure down duvets and a choice of pillows, custom made carpet, original art, comfortable armchairs or a Le Corbusier recliner and fine New Zealand made personal toiletries.
The lodge features underfloor solar heating, high speed broadband and wireless internet access, and each guest room has its own private outdoor terrace. TV and DVD players are available in guest rooms. Each room has luxurious bath robes, fresh flowers, fruit and handmade chocolates.
The suite has its own bath tub and living room with a fireplace providing an elegant and private retreat.
There are a number of different guest lounges for day and evening use - the main lounge with fireplace adjacent to the dining area, the glassed conservatory, the sunken living room with the DVD library, wide screen cable tv and fireplace, and the spa pool day living area with kitchen for guest use. Guest can relax by the deck overlooking the pond and waterfall, sit on the the outdoor terraces and admire the views or enjoy the shade in the central courtyard when it gets hot.
Disabled access is provided throughout the lodge and there is a disabled access guest room.
Formally the lodge is made up of two double story wings enclosing a central grassed courtyard which features an open air fire place. These are solid rendered masonry forms the thick walls emphasised by the deeply recessed windows. Each internal room has an external landscape extension either a paved terrace or grassed courts defined and enclosed by solid walls, planter beds, or raised planted mounds. The built forms are linked by the grassed courtyard with outdoor fireplace and timber pergolas
